myauthid Privacy
Who we are
myauthid is a sign-in service run by GMA Daisy Inc, a Maryland company. It lets you sign in to the GMA Daisy apps and websites you choose with one account. You use it at auth.myauthid.com. This page explains what myauthid does with your information in this version.
How you sign in
You can sign in with Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, or a passkey. myauthid does not use passwords.
What we get from Apple or Google
When you sign in with Apple or Google, they send us:
- your name,
- your email address, and
- an account number they use for you.
From Google, we ask only for your basic sign-in details: openid, email, and profile. That is your Google account number, your email address, and your name. If you choose “Hide My Email” with Apple, we get a private relay address from Apple instead of your real email.
We do not keep the access keys (tokens) that Apple or Google hand out at sign-in.
What you tell us
- Your handle (the name others see), your country, and your ZIP or postal code.
- That you are 18 or older and agree to our Terms and this page.
- Whether you want occasional updates from us.
What we create
- An account for you, with a role and a trust level. Every new account starts at the lowest trust level.
- If you add a passkey, we keep only its public key. The private part stays on your device.
- Security records: when you sign in, your IP address, and failed sign-in attempts. We use these to keep your account safe and to block people who try to guess their way in.
How we use it
We use the information we have in many ways to give you a great experience and to help keep you and others safe. For example:
- To sign you in and keep you signed in.
- To link your Apple or Google sign-in to your myauthid account.
- To sign you in to the GMA Daisy apps you choose.
- To check that your details fit together, now and when you verify your ID later.
- To understand where our members live, so we can plan and improve our services.
- To protect your account and our service from misuse.
What apps see
Your Apple or Google account number stays inside myauthid. Each app you sign in to gets its own separate ID for you, so apps do not all see the same number.
Where it is kept
On our own servers in the United States.
How long we keep it
We keep your account while you use it. Security records are kept for 30 days and then deleted. If you delete your account, see below.
Who we share it with
We share your sign-in details only:
- with the GMA Daisy apps you choose to sign in to, so they can sign you in, and
- when the law requires it.
We use your sign-in info to sign you in and help keep your account safe. Most apps get their own private ID for you and have their own privacy terms.
Google user data
myauthid’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Deleting your account
You can ask us to delete your myauthid account at any time:
- email info at gmadaisy.com from the email on your account, and say “Delete my myauthid account.”
When we delete your account, we delete your sign-in, your linked Apple or Google details, your passkeys, and your app IDs. We do this within 30 days. Copies in our backups are removed as those backups expire on their normal schedule.
You can also remove myauthid from your Apple or Google account at any time:
- Apple: Settings → [your name] → Sign in with Apple (on iPhone), or account.apple.com → Sign-In and Security → Sign in with Apple. Pick myauthid and stop using it.
- Google: myaccount.google.com → Security → Your connections to third-party apps and services. Pick myauthid and delete the connection.
Removing it there stops Apple or Google from signing you in to myauthid. It does not delete your myauthid account. To do that, ask us as shown above.
Adults only
myauthid is for adults 18 and older. It is not for children. If we learn a child has an account, we close it and delete it.
Updates to this page
If we change this page, we will update the version and date at the top. If we change how we use Google user data, we will tell you and ask for your OK first.
